Don't touch! These dyed jade, must stay away

  Every time we buy jade, we mainly look at whether the jade quality of the stone is oily enough, the whiteness is good, and the skin color is correct. Of course, this is also an important criterion for measuring the value of jade.

  However, under the constraints of such standards, many players will be confused, and often buy some fake jade that looks beautiful but is actually "toxic". Have you ever been caught?

  Many people think that I really can't afford it, and it doesn't matter if I find any "optimized" gemstones, as long as they are beautiful, but those jadeites that go against conscience and fake, not only have no collection value, but will cause harm to the human body. harm.

  Some time ago, there were news reports that some people bought dyed jade, but they had a skin disease, so dyed jade must not be worn, and this problem must be taken seriously.

  How harmful is it to the body to wear dyed jade?

  Dyeing is a very common method of gem and jade counterfeiting in the market, especially jade counterfeiting is more rampant.

  The method of changing the color of jade by dyeing and heating, generally all use organic chemical colorants to process the fake jade to make the ultimate gorgeous color, but in fact, natural jade can achieve bright and bright colors, All the ones with good smoothness are excellent products, which are rarely seen in the sales market and are not easy to buy.

  Moreover, the vast majority of dyed jade are all "harmful". Long-term contact of organic chemical dyes with the skin will cause skin discomfort, skin allergies, and even skin cancer in more serious cases! Harmful substances penetrate into the human body, and may also cause more damage. Various ailments...

  CCTV once did a report on "Breaking Bad Stone", which was devoted to dyed jade.

  Why do you have to dye jade?

  1. Impersonating seed material: By dyeing Hetian jade from mountain material or other origins, it is used to impersonate Hetian jade seed material.

  2. Pretending to be skin color: By dyeing, the dyed area is used as a pretty color, pretending to be a seed material. Another situation is that the original jade surface has no color or is not good, and you need to add some color to increase the appearance;

  3. Cover up flaws: The jade itself has many flaws, which are covered by dyeing.

  What are the methods of dyeing?

  There are also various dyeing materials, including animal blood, vegetable dyes, organic dyes, inorganic dyes, rust dyeing, iodine and other materials.

  The dyeing methods of Hetian jade are also endless, and the dyeing methods are also innovated. The dyeing methods of Hetian jade can be roughly divided into these types: direct smearing, soaking method (low temperature soaking, high temperature soaking), local dyeing method, rust dyeing method, etc.

  Among them, direct smearing, soaking, rust dyeing, etc. are mainly for uncarved rough stones;

  For the finished or semi-finished products that have been carved, the method of partial dyeing is more used. Generally, before dyeing, strong acid is used to wash off the impurities on the surface, and the structure of the jade becomes looser, so that the color is easy to attach.

  Smear method:

  First heat the surface of the jade with high temperature, then treat the surface with hydrochloric acid, and finally coat the surface of the jade with dye (prepared by a variety of dyes and penetrants), and leave it for a period of time to dye successfully.

  Identification method: The color dyed by this method is mainly attached to the surface of the jade. The color of the dye is generally brighter, which is in obvious contrast with the original skin color of the jade.

  Low temperature soaking method:

  Low temperature soaking, this method is more common for dyeing Hetian jade on the market. The jade material to be dyed is put into a special dye for cooling, and the time is about 7 days. After taking it out, grind off the unnatural color part, and then put it into the drum for processing, so that the color of the jade material is more natural.

  Identification method: first look at the transition of the skin color. The natural Hetian jade seed material has a natural transition of skin color, and can feel the three-dimensional effect of the color. It is a transition from the inside to the outside, so it looks full of agility. However, the color of the dyed and imitation seeds is often brighter, and there is no transition or unnatural transition, no sense of hierarchy, and it feels that the color only exists on the surface.

  High temperature soaking method:

  This method uses a certain temperature and pressure to make the dye enter the structure and cracks of the jade more quickly, so that the jade can be dyed quickly.

  Identification method: The jade made by this method has a high probability of different shades of skin color, and the color of the cracks will be especially dark.

  Spot dyeing method:

  Use a heating tool such as a gasoline spray gun or a natural gas spray gun to heat the part of the jade. Due to the high temperature, the structure of the jade becomes loose, and then the prepared dye is smeared on the surface. This method is called skinning in the industry. Under normal circumstances, the part of the partially dyed jade with the "skin color" is smaller, and it plays a more beautiful and embellishing role.

  Identification method: Pores are the most prominent feature of seed materials, which are not found in other imitation products. Although some imitation products will also imitate pores, but after all, there is no real nature of seed materials, so as long as everyone carefully distinguishes, it should not be difficult to find.

  Rust staining method:

  Fix the Hetian jade with the rust, soak it in hot vinegar, put it in the soil, and take it out after a few months, and the surface will be corroded by iron filings with orange peel patterns.

  Identification method: After the hydrochloric acid is dissolved, the addition of potassium thiocyanate shows red or the addition of phenol solution shows purple, which proves that there is rust.
